Saving Moore Park Golf Course: How Social Media & Celebrity Support Sparked a Movement

The challenge

In October 2023, the Premier of NSW made a significant announcement: that the government intended to convert half of Moore Park Golf Course (MPGC) into a new ‘Central Park’ space. Faced with this challenge, MPGC approached our team for assistance in amplifying awareness and gathering support. The goal? To drive petition signatures and get as close to 25K sign ups as possible.​

The solution

To ignite a movement and generate enough support, urging both the general public of Sydney, NSW and devoted golf enthusiasts to join forces and sign the petition. ​

We developed a suite of creative to run across social channels, including paid ads that would cut through, create an emotional connection and ultimately drive people to sign the petition.

Harnessing our catchy ‘Let’s do this the Fair Way slogan’ we used a mix of Static, GIF and Video content across META and TikTok to reach our key audiences. It was a perfect shot, with none other than Mark Walberg getting onboard and lending his voice to the cause. His passionate plea sparked a fresh wave of support, rallying the community to unite in the effort to save MPGC and sign the petition. ​
